How to get your ISEE

The ISEE is obtained by filing the DSU (Dichiarazione Sostitutiva Unica), which gathers the personal, income and asset details of everyone in the household. The DSU can be filed directly on the INPS portal, or through a CAF, which handles completing and submitting it for you. Once the DSU has been submitted, INPS calculates the indicator and issues the ISEE certificate, which states the calculated value and remains valid until 31 December of the year it was filed. If the household's financial situation changes significantly during the year (for example after a job loss), you can request a current ISEE (ISEE corrente), which recalculates the figure over a more recent period. The ISEE is required to access bonuses, concessions and welfare benefits whose amount or availability depends on the household's financial situation.
